EREK organized a successful international conference on " Cities’ Identity Through Architecture and Arts “, which took place from 28-29 September 2018 at the Akhnaton Hall of the Grand Nile Tower Hotel in Cairo, Egypt.

This summary captures a two-day program of presentations, panel discussions and interactive dialogue at the conference on. This conference registration started from 8:30 am to 9:15 am.

 The conference then began with the welcoming sessions which were presented by Dr. Abdelaziz Sakr, IEREK’s General Director and Dr. Mourad Amer IEREK’s Chief Executive Officer & Founder. The conference continued with interactive panel discussions, presentations and briefings on topics which were related to the conference.

The conference included a group of distinguished keynote speakers such as Prof. Francesco Molinari, Researcher & Policy Advisor at “Politecnico di Milano” & Professor at Ulster Business School, Prof. Zeinab Nour, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University.

 Sessions were moderated by Prof. Ahmed Radwan, Architecture Department, Fine Arts Faculty, Helwan University, Prof. Wael Youssef, Prof. and Head of Urban and Planning Department, Faculty of Engineering, Al Azhar University.

Selected papers of the “Cities’ Identity Through Architecture and Arts” conference will be published in a book series by Springer. Others will be published in Resourceedings journal by IEREK Press.
